Postdoc Position in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics
If your areas of interest and competence are genomic big data science and software development, and you are looking to gain experience while working on projects that will make an impact on the world, this is your chance. Your personal efforts will enable and accelerate works towards development of new environment friendly products, new medical treatments, climate friendly farming, etc using by applying the tools /pipeline of Big Data, AI and bioinformatics for the life sciences. Your mission is to develop and optimize a new software platform that can automate handling of large and heterogeneous data sets (i.e., Big Data) from biotechnology experiments (for example, long-read/Hi-C/single-cell sequencing). You will do so by developing new or transforming traditional algorithms into high-performance multi-threading including cloud infrastructures. The core algorithms utilize state-of-the-art optimization and deep learning techniques. You should have a PhD degree in software development / data science / computational biology / bioinformatics / deep learning or related and Experience programming in C++, scripting in Python and in using CMAKE.
Postdoc in Microbial Electrochemistry
A one-year postdoc position in the field of microbial electrochemistry is available at DTU Sustain within the project funded by a Horizon Europe project. our overall focus will be to strengthen the department’s competencies within wastewater resources recovery for microbial protein production using microbial electrochemistry platform. You will work with nearby colleagues, and with both academic and industrial partners in Denmark as well as abroad. The postdoc’s duties include research within the microbial electrosynthesis and the development of the novel waste carbon-to-protein concept, scientific dissemination of the results in scientific articles and at conferences, as well as teaching. As a formal qualification, you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent), in either microbial electrochemistry, microbiology, fermentation, or protein engineering, and documented prior experience with either biosynthesis or electrochemistry, or both.
Postdoctoral Research Fellowship on Spin-charge Interconversion Phenomena in oxide Heterostructures
At DTU Energy our research efforts are aiming at developing spintronic applications. Spintronics is a promising approach which goes beyond the operating principle in present-day electronics where the logic operation relies on the electron spin instead of its charge. The position offered is part of a new national project supported by the VILLUM Foundation. The project is carried out in close collaboration between DTU Energy in Denmark and CNRS/Thales in France. The objective of this project is to investigate the coexistence of a large spin-orbit coupling and electron mobility in oxide heterostructures and devices for spintronic applications. You should have PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering or similar.
